Two outdoor seating areas overlooking Breakfast Creek had been incorporated into the design of the new Virgin Australia’s Head Office at Bowen Hills. Our role in this project was to design and construct two groups of shade sails (one group of three sails, and another group of two sails), that would provide the best shade coverage to the seating areas and also enhance the aesthetic appeal of the development. The client wanted the minimal amount of pedestrian obstructions so all but one of the posts are situated in garden beds, and all other connections are secured to the building.

The shape of the shade sails and the tapered finish of the posts create a very clean and modern shade system. We received very positive feedback from the contractor who engaged us to perform this work, and they were particularly appreciative of how cooperative we were to work with.
